  • 2 large eggs

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 2 cups chocolate chips (12 oz)

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers look slightly soft.

  9. Remove from oven and let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let them finish setting on the baking sheet.

  • If your kitchen is warm, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.

 

  • Store cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread to keep them moist longer.
