Ingredients

For the Stuffing Balls:

  • 3 cups leftover stuffing (or fresh stuffing mix)
  • 1 cup cooked turkey, finely chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning (or sage, thyme, and rosemary mix)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken or turkey broth (for moisture)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for binding)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for extra richness)

For the Gravy (Optional):

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup turkey or chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for depth of flavor)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the leftover stuffing, chopped turkey, Parmesan cheese (if using), parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together to distribute the seasonings evenly.

Step 3: Add Moisture and Bind the Mixture

Pour in the chicken or turkey broth and beaten egg. Mix well until the stuffing is moistened but not soggy. If the mixture feels too dry, add a little more broth, one tablespoon at a time. If too wet, add some breadcrumbs.

Step 4: Form the Stuffing Balls

Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into golf ball-sized rounds. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Bake Until Golden Brown

Brush the tops of the stuffing balls with melted butter to help them crisp up. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm to the touch.

Step 6: Make the Gravy (Optional)

While the stuffing balls are baking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden. Gradually add turkey broth, whisking constantly, until smooth. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and black pepper, then simmer until thickened.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy!

Drizzle warm gravy over the baked stuffing balls, garnish with chopped parsley or green onions, and serve immediately.
